Featuring a 2-inch receiver, this hitch is rated for towing a maximum of 2,700 lb or 1,225 kg when equipped on Outback models with the 2.5L engine and 3,500 lb or 1,588 kg when equipped on XT or Wilderness trims with the 2.4L turbo engine. When towing, the use of the included wiring harness is required. The draw bar and trailer ball as pictured are sold separately. When a trailer hitch is installed, it is not possible to install the rear tow loop.
